A treatment plan, not a single treatment
Skin rejuvenation at Alula is a bespoke programme rather than a single intervention. After a thorough skin assessment, your doctor builds a plan that may combine medical-grade peels, mesotherapy infusions, polynucleotides for skin quality, and prescription-strength topicals — sequenced to address your specific concerns.
Skin assessment first

Marylebone, Hale and Chester
Skin rejuvenation programmes are particularly popular among our Marylebone and Hale patients with active home skincare routines who want a doctor-curated plan. We see a notable autumn spike as patients prepare to address summer pigmentation through the lower-UV months.

What might be in your plan
Depending on assessment, your plan might include glycolic, salicylic, mandelic or TCA peels; mesotherapy with hyaluronic acid, vitamins or peptides; polynucleotide injections for skin quality and elasticity; and a take-home prescription topical regimen. We sequence treatments four to six weeks apart with a documented review after the third session.
Pigmentation and tone
Concerns around uneven pigmentation, melasma or post-inflammatory marks need a particularly considered approach — incorrect treatment can worsen pigmentation. We use mandelic and combination peels in darker skin tones, often supported by a prescription brightening regimen at home, and avoid laser interventions where they would carry unjustified risk.
Skin quality and ageing
For ageing skin we typically combine polynucleotides and mesotherapy with Profhilo for the wider face, and microneedling courses for texture and fine lines. Anti-wrinkle injections and considered filler can be added once the skin foundation has been improved.
Common questions about Skin Rejuvenation
Q.How is this different from a facial?
A.A clinic facial is largely cosmetic and surface-level. Skin rejuvenation at Alula uses prescription-strength agents, doctor-administered injectables (polynucleotides, mesotherapy) and medical-grade peels. The intent is biological change in the skin, not temporary glow — and the results, while less immediate, are cumulative and lasting.
Q.Will my skin peel?
A.Depending on the agents used, you may experience visible peeling for two to seven days after a stronger peel. Lighter superficial peels and mesotherapy involve only mild flaking, if any. Your doctor will tell you in advance what to expect and we sometimes schedule stronger peels into a quieter weekend.
Q.Can I have rejuvenation while on retinoids at home?
A.Often yes, but timing matters. We typically pause home retinoids three to seven days before and after a peel, depending on its strength. We coordinate your professional treatments and home regimen so they enhance rather than conflict with each other.
Q.How quickly will I see results?
A.Some changes are visible after a single peel — clearer, brighter skin within a week. Deeper change to pigmentation, fine lines and elasticity tends to be visible from session three onwards. We document progress with standardised photography at consultation, mid-course and end-of-course.
