How Profhilo is different from filler
Standard hyaluronic acid filler is designed to stay where it is placed and create volume. Profhilo is intentionally fluid: after it is injected at five precise BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) per side, it spreads under the skin to deliver hyaluronic acid more diffusely. The effect is quality and tone, not contour.
What to expect
We mark the BAP points, cleanse the skin, and place five small injections per side. Each session takes around fifteen minutes. You will see small raised bumps at the injection points which settle within four to six hours. Visible results begin around four weeks after the first session, with the full effect after the second.
Combining Profhilo with other treatments
Profhilo can be combined with anti-wrinkle injections and microneedling for a comprehensive skin-quality plan. We do not usually do Profhilo and dermal filler in the same sitting — we space them out so each treatment can settle and be reviewed in its own right.
Common questions about Face & Neck Profhilo
Q.Is two sessions really necessary?
A.Yes — the protocol is designed around two sessions four weeks apart, and the bio-remodelling effect is significantly less complete with a single session. We strongly advise sticking to the two-session course. After the initial two, most patients return every six to nine months for a single maintenance session.
Q.Will it tighten loose neck skin?
A.Profhilo improves skin quality and firmness, and many patients see meaningful improvement on the neck. It does not produce the same lift as a surgical or HIFU treatment for substantial laxity. If neck laxity is your primary concern, your doctor may recommend HIFU first or a combination plan.
Q.How soon will I see a difference?
A.Most patients begin to notice improved skin quality around four weeks after the first session. The full bio-remodelling effect develops after the second session, peaking around six to eight weeks after the second appointment. Photographs at consultation, four weeks and eight weeks help track progress.
Q.Can I have Profhilo on the décolletage?
A.Yes — the décolletage is one of our most-requested Profhilo areas, particularly for patients who have noticed crepey skin in their chest area. It is one of the few injectable treatments suitable for this skin. We use a slightly modified injection point map for the chest.
