Stimulate the skin's own repair response
Microneedling — also called collagen-induction therapy — uses a medical-grade device to create thousands of controlled micro-channels in the skin. The body responds by upregulating collagen and elastin production, smoothing texture, softening fine lines and improving the appearance of acne scarring and pigmentation over a course of treatments.
Medical-grade device
Sterile single-use cartridge, depth controlled by your doctor.
Topical anaesthetic
Comfort-led: we apply anaesthetic before treatment for sensitive patients.
Course-based protocol
Three to six sessions, four weeks apart, for cumulative results.
Suitable for most skin types
Including darker skin tones, where many laser options are not appropriate.

Final price determined at consultation. Subject to medical suitability.

Conditions we treat
Acne scarring (especially rolling and box-car scars), fine lines, enlarged pores, uneven tone, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and stretch marks all respond well to a course of microneedling. We assess your specific concerns at consultation and recommend the depth, frequency and adjuncts (such as topical serums) most likely to help.
Treatment session
After thorough cleansing, topical anaesthetic is applied for thirty minutes and then removed. The microneedling device is passed across the skin in a controlled pattern, with depth adjusted by area. Treatment itself takes around twenty minutes. Skin appears flushed and pinkish afterwards — usually settling within twenty-four hours.
Aftercare
We advise gentle cleansing only for forty-eight hours, mineral SPF 50 daily, and avoidance of active ingredients (retinol, vitamin C, AHAs) for about a week. Resume your normal routine as soon as the skin feels comfortable. Avoid the gym, sauna and swimming for forty-eight hours to reduce the risk of irritation.
Common questions about Face Microneedling
Q.How many sessions do I need?
A.For most concerns we recommend a course of three to six sessions four weeks apart. Acne scarring usually requires the higher end of that range. Fine-line and tone work tends to settle around three sessions. We review your response after the second session and adjust the plan if needed.
Q.Is there much downtime?
A.Most patients have mild redness for twelve to twenty-four hours, similar to mild sunburn. Some have small pinpoint marks that resolve within forty-eight hours. We schedule patients for late afternoon if they prefer to recover overnight. Make-up can be applied the following morning.
Q.Can microneedling be done on darker skin tones?
A.Yes. Microneedling is one of the safer skin-rejuvenation options for Fitzpatrick types IV–VI, where many ablative laser options carry pigmentation risk. We screen for active acne and pigmentation history at consultation and adjust the protocol accordingly.
Q.Can I combine microneedling with other treatments?
A.Yes — microneedling combines well with mesotherapy, polynucleotides and PRP for accelerated rejuvenation. We do not perform microneedling in the same week as anti-wrinkle injections or dermal filler. Your doctor will sequence treatments to maximise outcomes and minimise risk.
