DESO Face & Body Fat Dissolving
Injectable lipolysis for stubborn pockets of resistant fat.
From
£250 (face) · £395 (body — up to six 10×10 cm areas)

Targeted fat reduction without surgery
DESO injectable lipolysis is a non-surgical option for localised pockets of fat resistant to diet and exercise — including the submental area (double chin), jowls and suitable body areas except breasts. Local anaesthetic is added to support comfort. The treatment destroys targeted fat cells, and those treated fat cells are not replaced, so results can be long-lasting when weight is maintained.
Clinically assessed suitability
Not everyone is a candidate; we screen for medical suitability first.
Targeted approach
Treats specific, mappable pockets — not generalised weight reduction.
Walk-in, walk-out
No theatre, no general anaesthetic; some swelling is expected.
Model appointments
Reduced-fee model appointments are sometimes needed for trainee course sessions; mention this in your enquiry if you would like to be considered.
Treatment details
Confirmed pricing is agreed in writing at consultation after assessment and is subject to medical suitability.

Areas commonly treated
For the face, we commonly treat submental fullness (double chin) and jowls. For the body, treatment can be considered for suitable localised areas except breasts. Pre-treatment photography and measurements are standard practice at Alula.
What to expect
After consultation, photography and consent, we map the area into a small grid and inject fat-dissolving solution at multiple points. Treatment takes around twenty to thirty minutes per area. Swelling and firmness in the treated area are expected for one to two weeks — these are part of the desired treatment response that breaks down fat cells.
Realistic expectations
Injectable lipolysis delivers progressive change, not dramatic single-session transformation. It is not a substitute for diet, exercise or surgery, and we will tell you honestly if your concern would be better addressed with a different treatment or referral.
Common questions about DESO Face & Body Fat Dissolving
Q.How much swelling should I expect?
A.Some swelling is expected and is part of the treatment mechanism. The submental area can be slightly swollen for the first three to five days; body areas are usually less obvious but can feel firm while settling. Bruising can occur. For body or tummy DESO, we may advise a compression garment for two to five days after treatment. Most patients schedule the first session before a quieter weekend or work-from-home period.
Q.Is it permanent?
A.Fat cells dissolved by lipolysis do not regenerate. However, remaining fat cells in the area can still grow if your weight increases significantly, so meaningful weight gain after treatment can reduce visible results. Maintaining a stable weight gives the best long-term outcome.
Q.Can it be repeated?
A.Yes. DESO can be repeated when clinically appropriate, but not before six weeks so the tissue has time to settle and the treatment response can be assessed.
