Restoring volume, not changing what is there
Loss of volume in the labia majora is common after childbirth, significant weight loss, or peri- and post-menopausal changes. Hyaluronic acid filler, placed by an experienced doctor, restores volume to the area without altering function or sensation. The aim is restoration, not transformation.

Who this treatment is for
Most of our patients seeking labia majora augmentation describe a change rather than a baseline concern — usually post-natally, after weight loss or with peri-menopausal changes. The aim is to restore the soft-tissue volume that has been lost, rather than to alter the natural appearance. We discuss honest expectations during consultation.
What to expect
After thorough consultation, we apply topical anaesthetic followed by local anaesthetic. Filler is placed using a cannula technique to minimise bruising and improve safety. Treatment takes around forty-five minutes including consent, anaesthesia and aftercare advice. Mild swelling and sensitivity are normal in the first week.
Aftercare
We advise loose-fitting clothing for one week, avoidance of intercourse for forty-eight to seventy-two hours, and avoidance of swimming, sauna and exercise for around five to seven days. Most patients return to normal daily activity the day after treatment. A two-week review is included as standard.
Common questions about Labia Majora Augmentation
Q.Will it affect sensation?
A.Filler placement targets the soft tissue of the labia majora and is not designed to alter sensation. Most patients report sensation as unchanged after the initial healing period. Any persistent change in sensation should be reviewed by your treating doctor — although this is rare with proper technique.
Q.How long does it last?
A.Most patients see effects for six to twelve months. Some opt for an annual top-up; others find the result settles into a longer-term improvement that needs only occasional refresh. The hyaluronic acid is gradually broken down by the body over time.
Q.Is the consultation private?
A.Entirely. Our intimate consultations are run in private rooms, by a female doctor on request, with full confidentiality. We see many patients who tell us they had been considering this treatment for years and finally felt comfortable to discuss it in a clinical environment.
Q.What is the recovery like?
A.Most patients describe the recovery as mild — some swelling, occasional bruising, mild sensitivity for the first week. We advise loose clothing and avoidance of intercourse, swimming and high-impact exercise for around a week. The final result settles around two weeks after treatment.
