Discretion drives most of our male intimate-health consultations. Mayfair, Marylebone and Manchester patients particularly value the confidentiality of a private medical practice with full medical screening. Many of our patients have not previously discussed these concerns with their GP.

Honest framing
PRP for male intimate health has growing but limited evidence. We approach the consultation honestly: PRP is one option among several, and may be an adjunct rather than a single solution for erectile difficulties. Where appropriate, we refer to urology — the right intervention for the patient is more important than fitting the patient to the treatment.
What the procedure involves
We draw approximately fifteen millilitres of blood, process it on-site to separate the platelet-rich plasma, and reintroduce it via fine injection along defined treatment points after topical and local anaesthetic. The full appointment takes around forty-five minutes. Most patients describe the experience as more uncomfortable than painful.
Combining with other treatments
Some patients combine PRP with shockwave therapy or with prescribed medications managed by their GP or urologist. We coordinate care where appropriate — patient outcomes are usually better when the broader medical team is in the loop. We do not perform PRP without medical screening.
Common questions about Male PRP (P-Shot)
Q.Is the procedure painful?
A.Most patients describe it as more uncomfortable than painful. We use topical anaesthetic and a local anaesthetic block before treatment, and pace the procedure at the patient's comfort. The blood draw itself is comparable to a routine blood test.
Q.Is recovery quick?
A.Most patients return to normal activity the same day or the day after. We advise avoiding intercourse for forty-eight to seventy-two hours and avoiding strenuous exercise for the first three to five days. Mild bruising or sensitivity in the area is common and resolves within a week.
Q.How many sessions will I need?
A.Most patients have one or two sessions to start, with progress reviewed clinically before any further treatment is recommended. We do not run automatic three-session courses — each session is justified by clinical response.
Q.Will my GP know?
A.Only if you choose. We can write to your GP if you want continuity of care; if you would rather not, we keep your treatment confidential. Where we believe a urology referral would be in your interest, we will recommend it openly — and write to your GP only with your explicit consent.
