Course content
Morning: skin anatomy and the science of collagen induction, device options and selection, indications and contraindications, patient assessment, photography and consent. Afternoon: practical — drawing up topical anaesthetic, treatment technique on live models across the face, post-treatment advice and scheduling.
Combination protocols
Microneedling combines well with topical agents (mesotherapy serums, polynucleotides, PRP). We cover combination protocols, sequencing within a treatment plan, and how to avoid common pitfalls — particularly around photosensitivity and pigmentation in darker skin tones.
Device choice and validation
We discuss the spectrum of microneedling devices — from entry-level to premium — and how to validate your equipment before clinical use. Sterility, cartridge quality and device maintenance are covered with the practical attention they deserve.
Common questions about Face Microneedling Course
Q.Can microneedling be done on darker skin?
A.Yes — microneedling is one of the safer skin rejuvenation options for darker skin tones, where many ablative laser options carry pigmentation risk. We discuss patient selection, depth protocols and pre-/post-treatment regimens specifically for Fitzpatrick IV–VI skin during the course.
Q.How does this differ from a facial?
A.Microneedling is medical-grade collagen induction. The depths we use stimulate genuine biological change in the skin, unlike a clinic facial. The course makes the differences clear so you can position the treatment honestly to your patients and price it accordingly.
Q.Is microneedling a single-session treatment?
A.No — most concerns benefit from a course of three to six sessions four weeks apart, with maintenance sessions every six to twelve months thereafter. We cover course planning and pricing during the day so you leave with a practical clinic protocol.
Q.Are live models guaranteed?
A.Yes — live models are central to the course and are planned in advance. We always have backup arrangements. Every attendee performs supervised treatment on at least one live model during the day.
