Day structure
Morning: facial vascular anatomy, danger zones, mechanisms of vascular events, pharmacology of hyaluronic acid fillers, product selection. Late morning: practical — cannula and needle technique on phantoms. Afternoon: supervised live-model practice across lips, cheeks and naso-labial folds. Late afternoon: complications, including a structured vascular event protocol.
Vascular event protocol
Every attendee leaves with a clear, written vascular event protocol covering recognition, immediate management, hyaluronidase dosing and escalation. We cover this practically — what to do in the chair if it happens, what to say, what to document. Your indemnity will likely require evidence of this training.
Which products we use
We use a range of CE-marked products across the course so you can experience different rheologies. We do not promote any single brand; we focus on understanding why and when to choose particular products and how rheology informs technique. Brand-specific training is also available on request.
Common questions about Dermal Fillers Course
Q.Do I need to have completed botulinum toxin training first?
A.Not strictly, but most attendees have. Filler involves more anatomical risk than botulinum toxin, and a good understanding of facial anatomy gained through botulinum toxin training is helpful. We will tell you honestly at enquiry whether to do botulinum toxin training first.
Q.Is hyaluronidase covered?
A.Yes — extensively. Hyaluronidase technique, dosing for vascular events versus product reversal, allergic reaction protocols and aftercare are all covered as part of the vascular safety section. You will leave with a protocol you can use immediately in your own practice.
Q.Are live models guaranteed?
A.Live model availability is central to this course and is planned in advance with backup arrangements. We never run a filler course without sufficient hands-on practice — it is the difference between recognising a syringe and being able to use one.
Q.Will I be ready to start treating after this course?
A.You will have foundational competency in lip, cheek and naso-labial fold technique. We strongly recommend a careful start in your own practice — beginning with simpler cases, ideally with mentor support — and building scope gradually. Filler is a treatment that rewards humility and methodical practice.
