DESO Fat Dissolving
A concise guide to DESO injectable lipolysis for localised fat pockets and how deoxycholic acid works.
The newer deoxycholic acid treatment is designed to treat difficult localised pockets of fat. In line with similar injectable treatments, the active ingredient is deoxycholic acid, which can reduce fat deposits in the right patients.
The product is separated into face and body vials: Desoface and Desobody. It is a non-surgical procedure.
Deoxycholic acid leads to cell necrosis. The cell membranes swell and rupture, so the treatment does not simply dissolve fat; it destroys selected fat cells.
This process is not a weight-management therapy. It is designed to correct a localised amount of fat in suitable areas.
After destruction of the fat cells, triglyceride may be excreted in the urine or bowel, metabolised by the liver, or relocated. Results can be long-lasting with a sensible lifestyle because the treated fat cells are destroyed by the injections and are not replaceable.
