    What Is Botox?

A training-focused overview of Botox, common clinical uses, and the course pathways available at Alula Aesthetics.

Botox is an injectable medicine that has been used since the 1970s to treat some medical conditions, such as crossed eyes. It is now probably best known for its role in softening fine lines and wrinkles. Botox is the brand name of a neurotoxin made by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum.

It is used clinically for face wrinkles, excessive sweating, chronic migraine, irritable bladder, gummy smile, and stiff muscles.

At Alula Aesthetics, Botox teaching is available through basic, advanced, and combined course options. Refresher training is also available for practitioners who want to update their knowledge, technique, and confidence.
